WORLD BUS|Foton Supports Australia’s Zero-emission Bus Transition

Recently, the signing ceremony between Foton Motor and Australian dealers on the batch of electric buses procured by the New South Wales government in Australia was successfully held, which further consolidated Foton’s leading position in new energy technology and sustainable development, and marked a new step for Foton Motor to promote mobility through clean and efficient energy in the Australian market.

The Greater Sydney Zero Emission Bus Scheme, announced by the New South Wales Government, aims to gradually transition the state’s fleet of more than 8,000 diesel and natural gas public transport buses to zero-emission technology. Foton Motor has won the first batch of orders from Transport for New South Wales to provide 128 electric buses for the first phase of the program, relying on its industry influence accumulated in Australia and the excellent technical strength of vehicles arriving in the local area in the early stage. Winning the bid is not only a high recognition of Foton’s products and technologies by Australian users, but also an important achievement of Foton’s strategic layout in the Australian market.

As a key market for energy transition, Australia has seen Foton Motor gradually establish its industry position over the years through comprehensive advantages in technology, supply chain, and services, winning a solid foundation for cooperation and broad space for collaboration. Foton Motor has already put into operation a fleet of electric buses locally, which have received widespread acclaim from government clients due to their high-quality products and services. The electric buses in this order utilize advanced new energy transportation technology, comply with EU regulations and Australian ADR certification, and not only demonstrate excellent energy efficiency but also provide a comfortable and safe travel experience, injecting new vitality into Australia’s public transportation system.

Furthermore, Foton Motor has assisted local dealers in successfully obtaining approval to establish a new factory in the southern region of Australia, focusing on the production of electric buses, trucks, and hydrogen fuel cell engines. This initiative is expected to create approximately 100 jobs locally, promote regional economic development, and provide strong support for Australia’s transition to zero-emission transportation.

In fact, this is the epitome of Foton’s development in the field of global green transportation. Under the global trend of “decarbonization”, Foton Motor has independently developed and mastered the core technology of “three electrics”, realized the multi-route development of new energy technologies such as pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cells, covered a full range of commercial vehicle products, and accelerated the green transformation of the global logistics and transportation industry. At present, Foton New Energy products have covered 45 countries and regions around the world, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.

Foton Motor has been committed to promoting green transportation and sustainable development, and the order of electric buses marks the further expansion of Foton Motor’s influence in the international market. In the future, Foton Motor will continue to strengthen technological innovation, improve product quality and service levels, contribute to the global transportation transformation, and bring more green travel experience to the people of its territorial countries.
