In the first half of this year, BAIC FOTON delivered an impressive performance, with total sales reaching 327,000 units—up 9.1% year-over-year. Among them, heavy truck sales approached 67,000 units, marking a 74.3% increase, while sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 50,000 units, soaring by 151% compared to the same period last year. All key business indicators hit record highs. This outstanding performance reflects the company’s ongoing strategic transformation, deeper marketing reforms, and enhanced product competitiveness—laying a solid foundation for its goal of being a world-class enterprise.

At this year’s Semi-Annual Business Conference, BAIC FOTON clearly defined its core direction for future development, emphasizing an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial approach to business.
As the global commercial vehicle industry undergoes profound transformation, BAIC FOTON Chairman Chang Rui delivered a keynote speech titled “To Be a World-Class Commercial Vehicle Enterprise.” He outlined BAIC FOTON’s commitment to three major strategies: full-scale internationalization, full-scale adoption of new energy, and full-scale smart transformation. At the conference, BAIC FOTON unveiled its comprehensive lineup across ten exhibition zones, featuring 58 vehicles that highlighted its deep technological expertise and full-spectrum product portfolio in the commercial vehicle sector. Covering a wide range of powertrains and application scenarios, the showcase underscored the company’s strategic progress in full-scale internationalization, new energy adoption, and intelligent transformation. Among the key highlights were the debut of the world’s first dedicated all-electric light truck platform—DAYSTAR, the FOTON Galaxus pure electric models, the all-new Xiangling U7, and the View T7 series.
Wang Shuhai, Vice President of BAIC FOTON, DAYSTAR, the world’s first dedicated platform for all-electric light trucks. The platform is equipped with an industry-first MTCU+SiC+oil-cooled flat-wire motor control system, delivering a 3% increase in overall efficiency and a rated power output of 140 kW. Its 800V SiC dual-motor setup reaches a peak speed of 25,000 rpm with 95.7% efficiency. Paired with vector control technology, the platform reduces turning radius by 20%.To support lightweight performance and modular design, the platform incorporates 23 lightweighting measures and 11 modular integration technologies, cutting component count by 11%, reducing vehicle weight by 15%, and lowering overall energy consumption by 20%. A multi-source heat pump management system improves cold-weather range by 20%, enabling stable temperature control across extreme climates from -30°C to 50°C.
BAIC FOTON unveiled its groundbreaking FOTON Galaxus pure electric product line, built on a fully independently developed new energy platform. This dedicated platform extends the core architecture of the Galaxy Intelligent Framework to create a smart, digital twin-based EV structure. Based on this new platform, BAIC FOTON introduced an all-new generation of heavy-duty electric trucks, including the Galaxus 9, Galaxy 5M, Galaxy T, and Galaxy 3. These models deliver outstanding energy efficiency, premium driving performance, and intelligent features, positioning them at the forefront of the market in overall product capability.

The Xiangling U7, BAIC FOTON’s first new energy VAN under the FORLAND, was officially launched. With a spacious 7.2 m³ cargo volume, industry-leading rear and side doors, and a 270° wide-opening rear door design, the U7 offers exceptional loading and unloading convenience. It features a highly efficient 6-in-1 electric motor with 95% efficiency and a peak output of 100 kW. Paired with a semi-solid-state battery from Aikore, the 50 kWh version delivers a driving range of up to 360 km. With a 1.81-meter-wide body, flat floor, large reclining seats, and a built-in 220V power outlet, the U7 is designed for maximum practicality. A high-strength steel safety cage and advanced active safety features ensure comprehensive protection, while an electronic gear selector and speed-sensitive steering enhance overall handling.

Positioned as a “trendy and practical pure electric mini truck,” the VIEW T7 embodies the concept of “carry more, move faster, save more—VIEW delivers.” Tailored for last-mile logistics, it offers a green and efficient solution for urban deliveries. Built on a modular platform, the T7 is available in single- and double-row configurations, with three battery capacity options and four cargo bed lengths to suit various applications. The cargo bed can reach up to 3.2 meters in length, with a maximum volume of 9 cubic meters, and comes in five body styles including flatbed and box truck, offering flexible solutions for a wide range of delivery needs.

IECO Moves to the Next Level
Guo Tongjin, President of IECO, officially unveiled IECO’s next-generation new energy heavy-duty super electric drive system. As a core technology within BAIC FOTON’s “Smart·Eco” and “Electric·Drive” integrated smart ecosystem brands, this advanced powertrain combines superior safety, energy efficiency, and intelligent control. Designed for full compatibility with both heavy-duty truck and bus platforms, the system supports both battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains.
