On April 8, under the theme “Together Win Future,” FOTON LATAM PARTNERS CONFERENCE 2025 launched in São Paulo, Brazil. In a landmark ceremony, BEIQI FOTON celebrated the rollout of its 12,000,000th vehicle and the production of the first vehicle from its new Brazil facility. This milestone not only marks a new phase in BEIQI FOTON’s global strategy in the Latin American market but also leverages the Brazil plant’s commencement to drive the “Re-industrialization” strategy in overseas markets, injecting fresh momentum into the transformation and upgrading of the global commercial vehicle industry.

The event coincided with the visit of Mr. Jin Wei, Vice Mayor of Beijing and his delegation to Brazil. During the visit, Vice Mayor Jin held a meeting with Hugo D. Zattera, President of AGRALE, FOTON’s local plant partner in Brazil.

In strategic markets such as Brazil and Mexico, the company accelerates the deployment of new energy and premium commercial vehicles through localized production and industrial cooperation. At the same time, BEIQI FOTON is intensifying investment in L2, L3, and L4 autonomous driving technologies, aiming to deliver end-to-end intelligent logistics solutions that empower global customers with greater operational efficiency.

At the conference, Fu Jun, Vice President of BEIQI FOTON and President of FOTON INTERNATIONAL stated, “Latin America has always been a key market for BEIQI FOTON. We have set a sales target of 50,000 units by 2025 and 150,000 units by 2030, aiming to become the leading commercial vehicle brand in the region. By establishing manufacturing bases, achieving new energy leadership, and innovating business models, we will work with our partners to drive brand growth and sustainable high-quality expansion.”

To achieve its goals, BEIQI FOTON will intensify its presence in the Latin American market through three major strategies. First, the company will establish a “3+X” manufacturing network—with Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina as core bases—to continuously enhance localization. Second, BEIQI FOTON will develop a comprehensive product portfolio that spans both traditional fuel and new energy models. Third, the company will innovate an integrated “vehicle-charge-storage” business model, leveraging battery swapping and photovoltaic technology to optimize operations.

In executing these strategies, BEIQI FOTON will deepen cooperation with international partners such as AGRALE, DP World strengthen its spare parts network, develop intelligent logistics systems, and recruit an additional thousand local talents to drive full-scale localization.

BEIQI FOTON Brazil Factory Rolls Out First Vehicle, Igniting Global Industrialization.

During the event, as an All NEW AUMARK light truck slowly rolled off the production line, BEIQI FOTON marked the production of its 1,200,000th vehicle at its Brazil factory—officially launching Brazil’s first locally produced Chinese commercial vehicle line. This milestone, following the November 2024 launch of its Thailand facility, signifies another global achievement in the Americas and establishes BEIQI FOTON as the first Chinese commercial vehicle brand to produce locally in Brazil.

Guided by a global development philosophy of collaboration and mutual benefit, the plant was jointly established by BEIQI FOTON and local partner AGRALE. Covering a total area of 197,000 square meters, the facility includes a BEIQI FOTON production line with a planned annual capacity of 5,000 units. The first phase targets an annual output of 2,000 units, with capabilities to manufacture a range of models including medium-duty trucks, light trucks. In the future, production will expand to include heavy-duty trucks and additional pickup variants.

Under BEIQI FOTON’s global strategic framework, this factory not only represents an upgrade in production capacity but also serves as a critical hub for expanding its influence across Latin America and beyond. By leveraging a collaborative industrial chain model, BEIQI FOTON is deeply integrating into the Latin American market, providing a dynamic example for Brazil’s “Re-industrialization” strategy, and injecting fresh momentum into the global commercial vehicle industry’s transformation and upgrade.

With the first vehicle rolling off its Brazil factory, BEIQI FOTON has successfully transitioned from being an “import brand” to a “localized manufacturer,” demonstrating its long-term commitment to the “In Brazil, For Brazil” principle. During the event, BEIQI FOTON signed MoU and multiple strategic cooperation agreements with international partners such as IVECO, Agrale, Marcopolo, and DP World, accelerating the transformation of its “Ecosystem Expansion” strategy.

IVECO, the brand of Iveco Group N.V. (EXM: IVG) that designs, manufactures and markets light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, and BEIQI FOTON, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in China, announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore possible collaboration in developing innovative solutions focused on the Brazilian and Argentinian markets.

BEIQI FOTON has forged strategic partnerships with AGRALE, Marcopolo, and DP World to drive localization efforts in Brazil and the Southern Common Market. The collaboration will actively explore diverse cooperation models, including component supply and CKD assembly, leveraging BEIQI FOTON’s advanced technology platform to optimize new energy powertrains and intelligent solutions.

At the event, a grand ceremony was held for the bulk delivery of the AUMARK 9T model. This batch of logistics vehicles, delivered to a large Latin American supermarket chain, will significantly improve local cold chain delivery efficiency and optimize the regional logistics system.

During the dealer representative speech session, outstanding dealers shared their successful experiences of working with BEIQI FOTON, emphasizing the importance of a “customer-centric” service philosophy in market expansion. These dealer cases from different regions vividly demonstrated the implementation of BEIQI FOTON’s globalization strategy. Based on this solid foundation, BEIQI FOTON announced more ambitious sales targets for the Latin American market, showcasing its determination to further strengthen its presence in the region.
