Recently, a delegation from the “Consultation, Contribution and Shared Benefits” training program—comprised of representatives from African Union member states including Kenya, Nigeria, Liberia, Zimbabwe, and The Gambia,etc.—visited BAIC FOTON’s headquarters in Beijing for in-depth exchanges. This marks the second visit to BAIC FOTON by participants of the AU training program following the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Summit.
As an important platform for AU member states to gain deeper insights into China’s governance, economic policy, poverty alleviation, sustainable development, and the practical implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, this training program focuses on the cutting edge of China’s industrial development. During the visit, the delegation toured BAIC FOTON’s headquarters to learn about the company’s development journey and brand values. They also visited the FOTON CUMMINS plant and X-Lab, where they observed the R&D process up close and gained deeper insights into BAIC FOTON’s significant achievements in cutting-edge fields such as new energy, intelligent connectivity, and autonomous driving. In addition, the delegates took part in test drives across BAIC FOTON’s full range of commercial vehicles, experiencing firsthand the comprehensive solutions the company offers for a wide variety of practical applications.
At the roundtable discussion, Luo Yunjie, Vice President of BAIC FOTON Overseas, gave a comprehensive overview of the company’s global strategy and robust innovation system.
